What's Next For Taylor-Made Skin?

Since starting Taylor-Made Skin I have done a lot of research, product testing on myself and others, and overall I have learned more than I could ever imagine. Everything that I have learned during this time has made me want to strive to exceed even my own expectations. However, in order to do that, I have a lot more to learn.

I created this brand as one that was focused on plant-based skincare and that is what I want it to continue to be based on. However, after talking with licensed skincare professionals and continuing with my research I realized that I have a long way to go until I can TRULY create these products in the manner that I desire. I want to create serums with active ingredients like niacinamide, azelaic acid, and lactic acid so that people will really be able to see a difference in their skin. I want to work with ingredients that lighten hyperpigmentation like kojic acid, ascorbic acid, and licorice root extract. To put it in short, I want to create powerful formulations with the ingredients that I have learned about and I want to do it right. The issue with this is that these things take time. Serums with active ingredients have to be carefully pH balanced, undergo stability testing, undergo microbial testing, and be made in a particular environment so that users can see the most benefit. While I am studying chemistry in college, I still want to work closely with chemists and cosmetic formulators so that I can create formulations that I know people will love to use and will work magically on the skin. Now does that mean I'm saying that I don't like the facial care products I create now? Of course not, but they are simply the beginning of something so much bigger.

With all that being said, as I continue with my research and gain the training that I truly need to be able to create precisely formulated facial serums, cleansers, and other products, I will no longer be focusing my brand on facial care at this time. Now don't freak out because there will still be new releases on facial care products here and there as I create and test new formulations, but simply remember that these things take time. It can take up to 2 years to perfectly formulate a product with multiple active ingredients because you have to ensure that none of the ingredients within the product will react with one another and cause an issue with the formulation. I have SO many ideas that I can't wait to share with you all when the time is right, but for now, hang in there!

So the question remains where does Taylor-Made Skin go from here! Well, don't fret because I will be keeping the most popular face products on my website. However, those that are not that popular will be removed. I always have ingredients on hand, so if one of your favorite products is removed please let me know and I might be able to create one specifically for you! Furthermore, since I am not planning to expand my face products at this time, I will be expanding my body care line! As we enter Autumn I have SOOOOO many wonderful body care products that I have been working on that I can't wait for you all to try! Even after I release the Autumn In A Jar Collection, there will be new products that will be added at a later date so be sure to be on the lookout for those!

I will also continue to post on this blog about the things I learn about this wonderful thing on our body called skin! Acne and hyperpigmentation are two things that are near and dear to my heart because as much as I hate them, they're apart of me and they have been apart of my life. I have accepted the fact that there is no cure to have perfect skin and I'm working on embracing it. I plan to add posts on here about skin issues I have experienced or are experiencing, mental health, world issues and nonprofits that Taylor-Made will be donating to, and new products that I am trying and love!

Thank you all for being so patient with me and continuing to help me grow my business. I truly cannot wait to be able to provide you guys with even better and more advanced formulations for face products, but until then make sure to shop the face products that will still be on my website and show some love and support to the new body products that I will be launching!

Much Love,
